I am disturbed by the number of injuries that people are sustaining in gyms all over the world. They are going for quick fixes for reducing their weights. A much safer alternative is doing Yoga combined with walking. And I am not speaking of advanced yogic postures. Just the simple Yogic movements done within quarter of an hour and an equal time walking daily. These two together will be sufficient to maintain optimum health. Later on you can add 5 pounds of weight lifting using dumb-bells.
I know that fitness freaks will be appalled by the quantum of exercises I have deemed enough. But then when people set unattainable targets, they either fall ill or just give up due to the little pains and aches doing too much exercise. Incrementally little bits of exercise add up to huge health benefits.
