Time and again the religious Scriptures of the world tell us of social injustices, how the poor are pulverized by the march of the rich and famous:
When you make many prayers, I will not hear. Your hands are full of blood. Wash yourself, make yourself clean. Put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes. Learn to do good. Seek justice. Relieve the oppressed, give justice to the fatherless, plead for the widow.
