Reading 93, from Robert Frost

ROAD LESS TRAVELLED
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth
Then took the other as just as fair
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear
Though as for that, the passing there
Had worn them really about the same
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet, knowing how way leads onto way
I doubted if I should ever come back
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence
Two roads diverged in a wood
And I took the one less traveled by
And that has made all the difference
My notes:
I am tired of telling folks that they have choices. Like it may be that you have passed through hell and that has scarred you. But then every guy coming out of the Holocaust is not hateful. In fact some of them are definitely holy. So what separates you from them? You have given in to the illusion of predestination whereas they have faith in free-will. Nothing at all, I repeat nothing at all, is predestined. Give up the hocus pocus of astrology; the nonsense of destiny…there is just you and your God. And since God really LOVES you…She/He/It does not interfere in your life in any bad way at all. So if you are ill, most probably you overate the last evening. And what about the evil that prowls always. Those are indeed evil forces. God certainly did not create evil…Even in accidents, you can choose to be seraphic…

i agree with the note with all my heart….
A beautiful poem from Robert Frost emphasizing on the importance of choices and decisions that we take all alng the road called life…..
However, there has been an argument that in the last para if Robert shud have said “Two roads converged in a wood” instead of “Two roads diverged in a wood” as he wud be seeing them from the other side now,…

You have a gift of words that Robert Frost would have enjoyed. Thanks for taking the time to post your notes and sharing your “woods” and “woulds”
